Submission Requirements
All submissions must adhere to the following criteria:
Original Work
Submissions must be exclusive to VIGA and not previously published elsewhere (including personal blogs or other platforms). We do not accept simultaneous submissions.
Style and Citations
Please use hyperlinks for web-based sources. For academic or primary source material, please use endnotes following The Canadian Press Stylebook conventions. Avoid footnotes.
Tone
Articles should be analytical rather than purely polemical. We value clarity, evidence, and accessibility for a non-specialist policy audience.
Mandatory CV Requirement
A current Curriculum Vitae (CV) or professional résumé must be attached with every submission.
The CV is required for editorial review purposes only. It assists our editors in verifying the author's expertise, institutional affiliation, and relevant publication history. The CV will not be published with the article. It is used solely to:
- Confirm the author’s credentials in the subject area.
- Provide context for any biographical note included with the piece.
- Ensure compliance with our platform's quality standards and conflict-of-interest disclosure.
Submissions received without an accompanying CV will not be advanced for review.
